99 Red Balloons (actually just 10) have been planted throughout the lower 48 by the Pentagon’s DARPA in what they’re calling a “Network Challenge.” The first registered person to find all 10 wins $40K. Military experimentation may be really scary, but damn it if they don’t come up with some awesome ideas.
